GCF Chili Cook Off

Hello Everyone,

We are hosting our regular Chili Cook Off at City Station East Lounge on Saturday, Sept 30th, from 12:00 to 2:00!  Come try the various chili and vote for your favorite.  And if you have a favorite chili recipe, make a pot and enter it.  Either way, come hang out and get to know some people.  And don't forget to invite your friends.

GCF Fall Kickoff

Hello Everyone,

It is a new school year and a new semester.  I want to talk about our upcoming first meeting (thus kickoff) for the semester.  We are going socialize over the provided dinner (as usual).  We will then watch a short lecture by Tim Keller on the topic of faith and work and follow it up with a discussion of the topic, with special emphasis on faith and work as a graduate student.  It will be held in Union 2424 (Patroon Room) at 6:00pm on Tuesday August 19th.  I hope you can all make it.

New Student Ice Cream Social

Hello Everyone,

We are planning on handing out ice cream to new graduate students after their orientation on Thursday, August 24th.  The current plan is to meet at 11:30 am outside of DCC 308 to be ready for when the orientation ends at noon.  We hope you can join us for ice cream, socializing, and good times.

New Semester - New Study

Hello Everyone,

A new semester (and school year) is about to begin.  We as a group are getting ready for this new beginning by getting ready to start a new study.  This semester we are planning on studying Jesus' Sermon on the Mount.  We will start the study sometime in September with some individual studies taking place until then.  We will be meeting Tuesdays at 6pm in the Library Conference room starting September 5th.  Until then, we are in Union 2424 (Patroon Room) on Tuesdays.  And as usual, our Tuesday meetings will also include dinner.  Hope to see you there.

Life Together by Bonhoeffer

Hello Everyone,

In addition to our new group (see previous post), our regular group is starting a new study with the new semester.  We will be going through Dietrich Bonhoeffer's book "Life Together."  We meet Tuesdays 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Folsom Library Conference Room.

New Study: Exploring Christianity

Hello Everyone,

We are excited to announce we will be starting a second group, Exploring Christianity.  This group is aimed towards new Christians and non-Christians interested in knowing more about Christianity.  We will be taking six weeks to go through John 1-5.  We currently plan to meet Mondays at 6:00pm in Union 2424 (Patroon Room), starting February 13th.  We would love to know people's interest in this group, so please let us know if you are interested in participating by emailing us at rpigcf@gmail.com.  Also please help spread the word to others you think would be interested.

Graduate Mac&Cheese Bake-Off

Like to bake?  Like Mac&Cheese?  Like hanging out?  Yes to any of these, then this event is for you.  Bakers, bring your best dish of Mac&Cheese for a chance to win the title and trophy.  Everyone (including bakers), come try the various Mac&Cheese dishes and vote for you favorite.  And most of all, come hange out with friends, make new friends, and have a good time.  (Bakers, please email us at rpigcf@gmail.com so we can prepare for you.)  Hope to see you at City Station East Lobby some time between 12:00 and 2:00pm on Saturday February 11th for this great event!
